“Horrorpunk” Action RPG Morbid: The Seven Acolytes Announced

Saturday’s Future Games Show included the reveal of Morbid: The Seven Acolytes, an upcoming “horrorpunk” action RPG coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch later this year.

According to the official Steam page, it is an isometric Souls-like game with “Lovecraftian horrors and Cronenbergian gore.” That sounds like a combination we’ll want to keep an eye on for sure.

As the last surviving Striver of Dibrom, you must defeat the Seven Acolytes, who are possessed by malicious god-like entities known as the Gahars.

Gameplay will include quests, perks, runes, upgrades, and looting, and of course, a challenging combat system with both melee weapons and guns.

No specific release date for Morbid: The Seven Acolytes has been announced yet.
