It’s been a while since we covered any news here, largely because I wasn’t sure what direction to take the site in. For a while, I thought it would be better to focus on reviews, but that leads to long gaps.
So let’s go over some of the news we missed.
Sea Salt Announced
Sea Salt, an action strategy game starring Dagon, was announced for this spring. It is planned for the PC.
Conarium Console Release
Conarium, the adventure game sequel to At the Mountains of Madness, came to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can read our review of the PC version here.
Moons of Madness Release Window
The Mars-set cosmic horror game Moons of Madness received a new trailer and a release window of “Halloween 2019.” Whether that means specifically October 31 or not is unclear, but it at least will be out for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One in the Halloween season.
The Sinking City Delayed
The Sinking City was originally announced for a March 21 release, but it was delayed to June 27. This open world investigation game was delayed in order to avoid being released alongside so many other major titles, and so they could polish it further.
Elden: Path of the Forgotten Announced
An action RPG inspired by Dark Souls and Lovecraft was announced for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Elden: Path of the Forgotten is set to be released later this year.
Lust From Beyond Funded on Kickstarter
Last year, a erotic psychological horror game called Lust for Darkness was released for the PC, and the developers followed it up with a Kickstarter campaign for the standalone sequel Lust from Beyond. While the Kickstarter campaign won’t be completed until June 4, it has already far surpassed its goal.
Lovecraft Video Games is going to start focusing on news again alongside the reviews. We might not have an article for every new trailer or gameplay detail, but announcements and major updates will be covered.
