Today, Drop of Pixel has revealed their upcoming game Underworld Dreams.
Underworld Dreams is a first-person survival horror game inspired by Lovecraft’s horror and based on The King in Yellow by Robert W. Chambers.
(While not actually written by Lovecraft, The King in Yellow is frequently considered to be part of the mythos, as mentioned during our review of another game that draws upon its lore, ICEY.)
It will feature puzzle-solving, combat, and multiple endings and stars a man named Arthur Adler, who returns to the site of murders he was accused of. The announcement trailer includes gameplay footage.
Underworld Dreams is planned exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, to be released in Q1 2020. More details can be found at the official website.
