It’s been a while, but this past week saw some exciting developments in the world of cosmic horror games!
Song of Horror Console Release Date
The survival horror game Song of Horror, which first came out for the PC in October 2019, is now set to be released on consoles. Song of Horror will be available for PS4 and Xbox One on May 28.
A physical PS4 edition has also been announced for Europe.
The Sinking City Comes to Xbox Series X and S
The open-world detective game The Sinking City is now available on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. This version has been published by Frogwares, so it’s not involved in the ongoing legal battle between Frogwares and the original publisher. However, that situation means you cannot upgrade from the Xbox One game to this new next-gen version.
The Sinking City is out now on Xbox Series X|S! Experience the eldritch horrors in 4K at a smooth 60FPS, with rapid load times and upgraded visuals.

May’s Humble Choice Lineup Includes Hellpoint
The full lineup of games for Humble Choice this month hasn’t been revealed yet, but three titles have been announced already: Metro Exodus, Darksiders Genesis, and Hellpoint. Hellpoint is a cosmic horror sci-fi Souls-like that came out in July 2020, so it’s exciting to see it become available for Humble Choice subscribers.
Adventure Mode Added to Amnesia: Rebirth
Finally, Amnesia: Rebirth is the latest of Frictional Games’s horror titles to receive an “Adventure Mode” option.
Adventure Mode for Amnesia: Rebirth is out now on PS4! Experience Tasi's journey without having to worry about the monsters or the darkness.
This update will also bump up framerate on PS5 to 60FPS!

As detailed in the blog post about it, Adventure Mode brightens dark areas, removes the fear mechanic, and prevents monsters from attacking you. If you’re interested in the story but not in the scares, this mode is worth checking out.
Conclusion
We’ve got some good announcements there, and don’t forget that Returnal is out now as well! This was a good week for cosmic horror fans.
